Encouraged at a young age to follow her creative instincts, Kassana was very fortunate to have found mentors and guidance along the way. Her path to painting was not a straight one, but one she has slowly and steadily nurtured over many years. The ways in which she's come to know herself as an artist is deeply connected to her relationship with the natural world, her creative mentorship, somatic drawing practice, and her work in the community. She enjoys opening her studio to visitors and is grateful for many wonderful conversations and connections this has offered her.
